This week we moved a number of clients into 2 of our move-on properties after we spent some time getting them cleaned up, painted and fit for a king or a queen.
We'd like to take the time to thank our staff and volunteers who spent numerous hours getting our move-on properties ready plus the local community for supporting us with items we needed to ensure the clients moved in and had everything they needed to start the next steps in each of their journey's. From bedding to cutlery, we're overwhelmed by the fantastic support of you all and thank you for supporting us with the items we needed as listed on our Amazon wish-list.
We recognise that not everyone is ready to live independently so in our move-on properties our outreach team work proactively with the client to support them with any difficulties creating barriers to accessing stable, longer-term accommodation.
Our move-on properties range from small flats to shared houses with common areas. The exact specifications vary but all are equipped with everything needed to live independently. Occupants are offered accommodation options depending on the level of support they require. As each property comes with a different level of support, it's possible to progress through the properties over time as your support needs lessen until permanent independent living is achievable.
You'll be snookered to think we didn't pop the kettle on a few times while we got this property ready for our clients:
We wonder who will be cooking up a treat or two in this kitchen:
A lounge to reflect, a lounge to socialist and a lounge that looks like it's been on an episode of the 60 second makeover:
A proud moment is always when we see our clients ready to 'move-on' and take the next step in their journey's:

We're so proud of the work each of our staff, volunteers and trustee's put into this charity but we cannot do it without you, the local community.
We take this time to thank you all for your continued support in the local community and re-iterate one important message; "Homelessness can happen to anyone when they least expect it", we're here supporting those experiencing homelessness or rough-sleeping.
