£1,300 raised at YRP annual barn dance!

Posted on: 2 December 2015 in

Everyone donned their check shirts and attended the annual YRP Barn Dance at United Reformed Church, Woking.  It was a huge success with nearly £1,300 being raised for those facing homelessness in Woking.  It was great to see so many people there from age 7 to 70 and as ever, lots of laughs were had as every one went the wrong way and bumped in to each other!  STG Infotech kindly donated the first prize of a laptop in the raffle and all of the other prizes in the raffle and the tombola were kindly donated by local business and individuals and our heartfelt thanks go out to them.  The money raised will go towards running The Prop which provides day time services including advice and workshops to anyone who needs support from YRP.  To find out more about The Prop, please click here.

Dancers having a great time!

'Six beats in a Bar' provided the music free of charge and Keith was an excellent caller although he was probably frustrated at the inability of us all to follow his simple instructions!

Keith and 'Six beats in a Bar' providing wonderful music to dance to.
