Volunteers needed in the night shelter

Do you want to help the homeless in Woking?

We are looking for volunteers to help in the night shelter kitchen Monday-Friday from 6.15pm to 8.30pm.  The role involves all aspects of serving an evening meal to up to 16 clients who are in our shelter including cooking, serving and cleaning the kitchen afterwards.

York Road Project is a busy and sometimes challenging environment working with some of the most marginalised members of our community.  It is also a lot of fun!  Potential volunteers need to be physically fit, have a knowledge of cooking and food hygiene and also must have a patient and understanding nature.  A full induction and DBS check will need to be completed before starting.  For further information, please contact Amanda McWilliams - Project Manager on 01483 728739.

With your help, we CAN make a difference.
