£28,000 per annum

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

We are looking for a dynamic and creative person to join us as our Community Fundraiser.

The ideal candidate will have demonstrable fundraising experience and who can build on the work undertaken by our previous fundraiser. The successful applicant will need to be flexible and have excellent communication skills both written and verbal. You will be able to tell the story of our work in a way which will persuade individuals, companies and community groups to support our work.

You will be able to respond quickly to opportunities that arise, have a ‘can do’ approach to the role and work alongside a small team whilst working individually to meet financial targets.

You will be the face of the charity at fundraising events and have excellent organisational skills and able to balance several funding opportunities at once.

Project Worker

37.5 hours per week

At York Road Project we use an approach known as Psychologically Informed Environments
(PIE). We apply PIE in five key areas: relationships, staff training and support, the physical environment, our psychological framework, and evaluation. Staff attend monthly reflective practice sessions as part of their ongoing training.

This role is based within the Prop Day Centre supporting those experiencing homelessness in Woking. As part of your role, you will be responsible for meeting the everyday needs of our clients, engaging with them and offering support to help them move away from homelessness and into longer term, stable accommodation.

As part of a team you will have responsibility for devising, delivering and evaluating workshops and activities to groups in a motivating and supporting manner. The programme changes weekly, and your role will be to support the Team Leader in the creation of the programme.

The post holder will work alongside statutory and non-statutory agencies to develop and lead in delivering a client centred support package in order to improve the outcomes for single, non-priority homeless in Woking and Waverley.

This is a challenging but rewarding role which needs passion, skill, compassion and empathy to support individuals towards a stable, contributing lifestyle in the community.

To cover on call one week in four is an essential part of this role – additional payment of
£58.37per week.
