Cevat came to us during the pandemic back in 2020 and was immediately offered temporary accommodation with us. The first steps to support are sitting down and getting to know our clients, working in a trauma informed way to get the best out of the sessions and agreeing to a person centred support plan. Cevat moved into one of our 'move on' properties where he was supported by our Tenancy sustainment officers (TSO) to sustain in the property. Working collaboratively with support providers he was referred to and accepted at amazing service which offers longer term accommodation and is local to this area.

Cevat came in to our offices this week to thank staff for being there when he needed help and believing in him when he didn't believe in himself.

It gives staff a great sense of pride when clients come back and show us how far they have come and what they have achieved.  Our work continues with Cevat and others as we will continue to support him whilst he settles in to his new accommodation for as long as he needs us to be there for him.

We are confident that our TSO's ongoing support reduces the the risks of our clients struggling on their own and not knowing who to ask for help if things become overwhelming.
